Abortion

Abortion is a procedure that can be surgical or non-surgical, and there are several different types of each, with each varying in cost and potential complications. What type of abortion you are eligible for depends in part on how far your pregnancy has progressed, and the only way to verify this is an ultrasound. While we do not perform abortions in our clinic, we do offer ultrasounds at no cost. An ultrasound can also inform you if you are at risk for a natural miscarriage. To request an ultrasound, click here for our appointment form.

During your consultation, we can provide medically-accurate education on abortion procedures and what you might face. We won’t show you any graphic material.

If someone you know is pressuring you to choose abortion against your wishes, you need to know your rights as a pregnant woman (no matter your age). What you do with your pregnancy is your decision, even if you are not financially independent. No one can legally force you to have an abortion.

Adoption

Depending on your specific circumstances, adoption might be an option for you. The medically-recognized decision tools we use in your consultation will help you determine if this would work for you, based on what you value.

Adoption agencies allow you to choose the level of adoption, including open (an open adoption allows you to choose the amount of communication you have). Agencies also provide a way for you to choose the adoptive family after learning about their history, home life, hobbies, and values.

We provide information on the process of adoption. We are not affiliated with any specific adoption agency, and we won’t profit from any choice you make. For more information on adoption, let your patient advocate know you’re considering it as a pregnancy decision in your complimentary consultation.

Parenting

A choice to parent should include a consideration of several factors:

  • Your financial situation
  • Your living situation
  • Your relationship

During your appointment, we can equip you with the tools you need to decide if parenting is the right choice for you.

Should you choose parenting, we can connect you to community and government resources for housing, medical, and food assistance if financial difficulties are an issue in your situation.

The Mid Cities Women’s Clinic does not perform or refer for abortions.
